| Valerie Lillich Valerie began her yoga practice in high school with a yoga video and an area rug. Since then, Valerie has studied yoga from a number of teachers in Kansas. She has also received training from Adrian Tartler and Mary Jane Keith. In 2008, Valerie completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training through Siva Power Yoga, as well as 64 hours of Yoga Teacher Training at the YMCA in 2009. Valerie is registered through Yoga Alliance at the 200 Hour Level. "What attracted me to yoga is the ability to connect with my mind, body, and spirit while sharing that energy with those around me. After yoga practice, I enjoy taking the essence of my yoga practice out into the world, everywhere, everyday. I like how yoga promotes a calm mind, a healthy body, and a loving heart. In addition to practicing yoga, I enjoy expressing myself through art. Aspects of yoga are often incorporated into my creative work." |

| Whitney Rodriguez-Tartler completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in June 2008 at Siva Power Yoga Studio. | Angie Marler I began practicing yoga in 1998 in Florida. Becoming more serious about my practice was a gradual process. Moving to Kansas and being involved in healthcare was a wake up call for me. Seeing how we treat our bodies and understanding the ramifications led me to be more committed to alternative and natural therapies. I enjoy the feeling of connection with myself that yoga gives me, whether that is through breath work, meditation or physical postures. I like to have fun with my practice while challenging myself. I completed my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Adrian at Siva and loved every minute of it! I am excited and eager to share my yoga practice with others. |
| Sarah Appelhans I began practicing yoga in 2006 while I was in college, and it quickly became a lifeline for me. I found that yoga really helped me to calm my mind and separate myself from the chaos of homework, projects and all-nighters that are characteristic of college life. I still maintain that I would not have survived my final semester if it hadn't been for my twice-weekly yoga class, and I try to keep that in mind as I teach my own classes. My goal is to create a space where overworked, stressed, or anxious adults can come to center themselves, protect themselves, and gear back up to face the challenges of their lives. We will integrate breathing, motion, strength and flexibility to help bring our minds out of the future and into the present. I hope that after their yoga experience, my students' quality of life will be just a little bit better than it was before. I received my yoga teacher training with Adrian at Siva Power Yoga in December 2009, and I am very excited to be embarking on this journey as a teacher at Siva. Students of all levels are welcome in my class. |
| Gina Cumberland I love doing headstands in unexpected spaces, like museums, shopping malls, and rest stops. I believe that yoga can be practiced in infinite ways with the goal being self-improvement. I see teaching yoga as an opportunity to share my energy and practice, a dynamic power flow emphasizing strength, flexibility, and balance. My goal is to create space both in the body and mind. I am inspired by the continuous growth physically and spiritually my yoga practice offers. I like the way yoga helps me to focus on the present moment, a practice that extends beyond the mat. I enjoy the asanas of everyday life, moving toward stillness a little more everyday. I’m excited to have the opportunity to share my practice with this growing community. |
